“DJ Big Mama” – Suzanne Sluizer

The first time she met the blues they put a spell on her – body and soul – and Suzanne knew that she had caught a virus called the blues. When she spins, the blues come over her, and she puts you in the mood where you’ve got the blues so bad that you’ve got to move. Suzanne loves sharing the diverse styles and moods of blues: whether serene or spirited, stately or steamy, submissive or saucy, sublime or sleazy, she’ll play the blues for you and have you saying “Damn right I’ve got the blues!”

Originally from Chicago, Suzanne first began to DJ as an FM radio “rock jock” longer ago than she cares to remember, and she now calls the high desert of New Mexico home. In the last year and a half, she has spun sets around the country at exchanges, workshops and weekly events in Austin, San Francisco, LA, Philadelphia, Boston, Pittsburgh, Portland, Virginia Beach, NYC, Denver and Albuquerque.

Adin van Duyne

Adin learned to dance and got his start as a DJ in Lawrence, KS back in 2002.  After briefly living, dancing, teaching, and DJing in Memphis, TN, he found his home out in Ft Collins, CO.  Ever since, he has been an integral part of the local scene, teaching, DJing, and organizing a weekly dance.  He has had the privilege to DJ for such wonderful events as Lindy Diversion, the Albuquerque Lindy Exchange, the Denver Lindy Exchange, Mile High Blues, the Aspen Blues Recess, the Northwest Blues Recess, Atomic Blues Fusion, and the Boston Fusion Exchange.  Adin DJs regularly at the local venues as well as occasionally at a number of Denver venues.  Music has always been a passion for Adin and as a DJ he loves nothing more than to find songs that inspire people to dance, even if they wouldn’t initially think of it as “dance music.”

Bryan Spellman

Bryan Spellman loves the Blues. He loves dancing to the Blues, moving to the Blues, and spinning the Blues. He loves the challenge of reading the dancers and playing music that will get the entire room out on the floor.

Blues stole his heart when he braved the journey to his first major dance event, Cheap Thrills 2006, opening the road for traveling, teaching, competing, and DJing from coast to cost. In his free time [sic], he reads, writes, plays nerdy games, and enjoys a day job in the aerospace world.
