Volunteer Info

Are you strapped for cash but still want to attend? Are you able to offer your time and services to the event? Volunteering is the way to go.

Here’s how it works

Send an email to mhb.volunteers@gmail.com.

5 hours = ½ off Weekend Pass
10 hours = Full Weekend Pass
7 hours = Dance Party Pass

1. Register for either the Full Price Weekend Pass or the Dance Party Pass.
2. Choose the “Pay by check” option on the Checkout page.
3. Send us a check within 2 weeks of registering. Write “Volunteer” on your check.
4. Attend Mile High Blues and volunteer your hours.
5. Watch us tear up your check. Yes, right in front of you.

What we need

There are basically 3 types of volunteers.

Hourly- Pretty straightforward. You’ll work off your hours doing basic stuff like watching the door, checking wristbands, setting up or cleaning up.

Flexible- You’ll be working under direct supervision of one of our event managers, doing whatever they tell you. You will be told an approximate time and location you’ll be needed and who to meet with. Example: helping the Food Managers set up snacks around midnight.

Drivers- We need you because you have a car. You might be called upon to drive our instructors around town, or pick someone up at the airport, or you might be asked to haul food or equipment between venues. Please tell us how many passengers you can take, and/or if you have a big truck ideal for hauling. We are in need of drivers before, during, and after the event.

Important Stuff

*Send your check within two weeks to secure your volunteer spot. If we don’t get your check in time, we’ll nag you incessantly until we receive it. Also, you’ll lose your spot to someone else.

*If you decide to go with the ½ off deal, please write us 2 checks each for half of the ticket price. We’ll deposit one and tear up the other…unless you bail on us.

*If you can offer your car for our cause, please please, clean it! We do not want our out-of-town guests driven around in a car whose floor is covered in old fast food cartons and candy wrappers, nor do we want your big truck if it’s so full of your own stuff that there’s no usable space left.
