This year we’re featuring 4 tracks of classes, with 12 instructors teaching over 30 blues classes! And we have a 5th track dedicated entirely to electives! All of our classes will take place at the Newman Center for Theatre Education. The Newman Center has 5 dance studios all in one location, so no driving all over town between classes anymore! It also has a lounge to hang out, a small cafeteria with vending machines, and is within walking distance of Denver’s 16th Street Mall, which has a variety of lunchtime options.

Level Testing

Level testing will occur after the first class on Saturday. The first hour of classes is all solo, to give you a chance to “warm up” for the level testing.

Anyone who is interested in taking classes in either Track C or D must do level testing. We will have no prior approval from instructors this year. And just to warn you all, we are planning on keeping both tracks small, so we will be cutting a lot of people! So you get an idea, we’re expected about the top 10% of dancers to qualify for Track D, and then next 30% for Track C.

Tracks A and B this year are for everybody else, and they are going to be topical. We try to offer something different in each track every hour, so that you have options. We’re hoping that this method will split the dancers relatively evenly. Even so, we have put Tracks A and B into the largest studios (except where otherwise noted). Please note that A and B do not correspond to Beginner and Intermediate.
